MUST TRY Anpan Specialist Bakery in Tokyo!🫘🌸 【Menu&Comments】 🍄草だんごあんぱん(Kusa Dango Anpan) - 220yen (~$2.3 AUD) Super soft, bouncy and fluffy bun with meaty addictive chew. Balancing out the denser filling of red bean paste and mochi. Red bean was relatively smooth, while the mochi was stretchy and sticky. Tad sweet from the generous amount of red bean but 100% a perfect bite to pair with coffee. ⭐️4/5 🍄ゆずあんぱん(Yuzu Anpan) - 230yen (~$2.4 AUD) ELITE! Bun here was also fluffy and soft, with an added hint of citrusy fragrant flavour of yuzu. Filling was a Yuzu flavoured bean paste, super smooth, with Yuzu peel laced within. Loved the seeds on top for that popping texture. Sweetness was perfect to eat it by itself. ⭐️4.5/5 Recommended? 1000% Ngl, the bread here is lowkey S-tier. Specialising in Anpan (Bread with Bean Paste Filling), this local bakery in Asakusa bakes up all sorts of Anpan flavours.
